IITH's Emergency Department is staffed 24/7 for urgent and time-critical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call the emergency hotline immediately or proceed directly to our hospital.

The Emergency Department is for conditions that need immediate medical assessment — this is general guidance only:
- Severe chest pain, heart palpitations, or acute breathlessness
- Major trauma, acute fractures, or uncontrolled bleeding
- Sudden loss of consciousness or seizures
- Signs of stroke — sudden weakness, facial droop, or speech slurring
Arriving at the Emergency Department
On arrival, patients are triaged and prioritized according to clinical acuity. Our emergency resuscitation bays, cardiac monitoring units, and on-site pharmacy/diagnostics are immediately accessible.
For Non-Emergency Consultation
If your condition is routine or elective, OPD specialist consultation is available Monday to Saturday.
